About Me

About Alison

Helping and encouraging others to find solutions and reach their potential is something I love to do.

Being stuck in a rut, at a crossroads in life or career, or lacking a sense of purpose is something many of us experience.

As a career & life coach, I use my own experiences and learning to help people live better, happier lives. I want to inspire people to take positive steps towards reaching their goals. Doing this gives me a life I enjoy and is fulfilling.

Getting unstuck is possible…

I’ve also been stuck in a rut and at a crossroads.

Working with the same company for many years, I had reached as far as I could go. I had a degree in Visual Communications and worked as a designer and design manager. I was still in my thirties, feeling my life passing by and thinking ‘is this it’?

I reached out to a career coach because I knew something had to change but I wasn’t sure what or how. I couldn’t believe what I learnt about myself. I found new approaches, discovered strengths and skills I hadn’t considered and started to see things in a different way.

Coaching helped me realise I needed a whole new direction in my career and not just a change of job in the same industry. This clarity left me feeling empowered and confident about the future and ready to take control of my life.

I had many fears but I was ready to challenge myself. The path to my success involved me stepping out of my comfort zone with the confidence and motivation to take those steps.

I have now set up my own business where I get to coach and work with some great people and have discovered a newfound purpose. It’s not easy, I really do understand the fears you can have of starting something new, but it is worth making a change and going for your goals.

Lessons from Running

Running is a hobby of mine and over the years I have completed over 50 marathons and ultra-marathons. I am also an official pacer at the Dublin Marathon, where I have the honour of being there to run with, encourage and help others reach their goals.

These experiences have taught me many things about challenges, struggles, doubts and fears and how to overcome them.

What I’ve learnt from running can be applied to life. Often, the hardest part of going for a goal, taking that step or making that change, is the decision to go for it. After that, you find the way to get there. And that’s where I can help you.
